The Mesit@1 Programmable Logic Control (PLC) is an open source platform for multiple applications. It’s flexible and, conversely the traditional unit controls supplied by the main constructors, is open, allowing you to complete plant solutions delivering advanced performance, operability, and availability. An open source software suite Mesit@OS is used with the Mesit@1 PLC and related systems for programming, configuration, trending, and analyzing diagnostics. It provides a single source of quality, time-coherent data at the controller and plant level to understand and adjust how your plant is operating in real time.

LNG Arzew Sonatrach

The Arzew new LNG liquefaction train or GL3-Z project started in july 2008 by Sonatrach is situated about 400km (249 miles) west of Algiers. The onshore contract was worth €2.8bn and involved the construction of a new LNG liquefaction train on a brownfield site in the industrial zone of Arzew adjacent to the existing refinery. 

Sonatrach awarded Saipem, in a joint venture with Chiyoda, the lump sum turn key contract for the new Arzew LNG Train (GL3-Z) project. The contract encompassed the EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) of a single-train gas liquefaction (LNG) plant, with a capacity of 4.7 million tonnes of LNG per annum. We supplied to Saipem Venturi Tubes, Orifices Plates, Thermocouples and Thermowells for the single-train gas liquefaction plant. That time Saipem was named for the first time as the main contractor of a large gas liquefaction (LNG) plant, asserting its reputation as an integrated player, capable of managing large and complex turnkey projects in the high tech market of the LNG sector.

Compression Station Portovaya Gazprom

The project, located near Vyborg (Russia) involved the construction of a compressor station part of the Gryazovets-Vyborg gas trunkline. In this project are involved Rolls-Royce (GPUs) and Siirtec Nigi (GTU design and construction).The station is the starting point for gas supplies through the Nord Stream gas pipeline and secures gas transmission over 1.200 km. The Portovaya station has a 366-MW capacity and a 220-atmosphere absolute pressure. It comprises eight gas-pumping units (GPUs) - six with a 52-MW capacity and two with a 27-MW capacity.

The Nord Stream gas pipeline is a fundamentally new route for Russian gas exports to Europe. The gas pipeline will run across the Baltic Sea from the Portovaya Bay (in the vicinity of Vyborg) to the German coast (in the vicinity of Greifswald). The gas pipeline length will be some 1,200 km.
